Establishment of the “New Partnerships” workgroup

Establishment of the “New Partnerships” workshop was an initiative from the Chairwoman of the Committee for Improving the Quality of Life of Moscovites Оlga Bessolova. The workshop falls within the Resolution of Conference of Public Chamber of the Moscow City dated 18 March, 2009 on creating governmental social entities to develop and introduce up-to-date models of social work. The work-group is a private-public partnership aiming to create an effective dialogue between executive authorities, the business community and the society of Moscow. “New Partnerships” activity promotes international cutting-edge social technologies socially-crucial programmes. The working-group consists of representatives from Departments of The Moscow City Government, large-scale enterprises, non-profit and international organizations.

Creation of new feedback mechanisms between government, businesses and society, in order to detect the problems in the quality of life of moscovites and monitoring of existing strategies – is one of the core activities of “New Partnerships”. Cooperation with other regions of the Russian Federation is also planned in terms of experience-sharing of the enhanced social strategy of the Moscow megapolis.
